The Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises launched 6-Technology Innovation Platforms in June 2021 for the exchange of knowledge for research and development of technologies manufactured in India with globally competitive standards and other technological research.
Main Objective:
Its main objective is to provide a platform for all Indian businesses and field professionals and to identify problems faced by various industries and address them through solutions to nurture the crowd.
1.The platforms were developed by IIT-Madras,
*Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI),
*International Centre for Automotive Technology (iCAT),
*Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI),
*Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and
*HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) in collaboration with IISc, Bangalore.
2.Indian start-ups and businesses (including original equipment manufacturers, Tier-1 Tier-2 and Tier-3 companies, and raw material manufacturers) will benefit from these sites.
3.More than 39,000 experts from various companies, industries, and labs are registered on these sites.
