One Sun, One World, One Grid

On this Independence day, our honorable Prime Minister addressed on One Sun, One World, One Grid(OSOWOG) project which is a solar power that provides electricity throughout the globe. The main objective of this project is to provide solar resources to 140 countries of West Asia and Southeast Asia.

The vision of OSOWOG is “The Sun Never Sets” at any point in time. The parent body of this proposal is the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

By 2030, India plans to generate 40% of power from non-fossil fuels. This electric grid might be an interconnecting to the power pools of Africa at the later stage. For the execution plan, it will be over sighted by the technical assistance program of the World Bank.
