On August 20, 2020, ISRO stated that India’s Chandrayaan – 2 lunar mission has completed a year in orbit around the moon. It also observed that all instruments are at good functioning condition added to that they also said that there is adequate fuel for the next seven more years.
It’s been a year, Chandrayaan-2 was ignited on July 22, 2019. Though the attempt of soft-landing was not successful, the orbit that carried eight scientific instruments was placed successfully in the lunar orbit. And till now, orbiter completed 4400 orbits around the moon.
The ideology of launching Chandrayaan-2 is to understand widely about the moon by understanding its knowledge of atmosphere, mineralogy, topography, thermo-physical characters, surface chemical composition.
