The Mahrattta Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Agriculture (MCCAA) has set up India’s first Agricultural Export Facility Center (AEFC) in Pune (MC) in association with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). At the CAA office, Senapati Babat Road).

*It has been reported that it would be useful for anyone involved in the export of agricultural products.
*The center will provide expert guidance in areas such as orchard management, minimum residual condition (MRL), branding and marketing, specialty export treatments, country-wise protocols, and government export programs.
*It disseminates knowledge by organizing awareness programs, training programs and workshops on export related aspects.
*The federal government has proposed to set up a knowledge bank in which export-related activities and knowledge will be available online.
India’s Agricultural Exports:
*Agricultural exports as a percentage of India’s agricultural GDP were 9.9% in 2018-19.
*India’s agricultural exports in 2019-20 were INR 2.53 lakh crore.
*Basket of total agricultural exports accounted for just 2.5% of global agricultural trade.
*India’s target for agricultural exports – Agricultural exports are targeted at US $ 60 billion by 2022.
