The Haryana state government has launched the ‘One Block, One Product’ scheme to promote small businesses in rural areas, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said.
One Block One Product Scheme :
*The scheme will be rolled out in 137 blocks of the state, under which each constituency will be linked to certain industries
*Arrangements for more general services, laboratory testing, packaging, transportation, and accounting will be made within the cluster.
*The project will help small entrepreneurs in rural areas compete with large businesses.
Features :
*A team of officials set up to implement the project began selecting industrial products for 137 constituencies.
*Haryana Micro launched the ‘One District, One Product’ project in 2020 under the Directorate of Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
