Across the country, 18,833 people have been diagnosed with corona infection in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of corona infections to 3,38,71,881.
The highest number was 9,735 in Kerala, 2,401 in Maharashtra, 1,449 in Tamil Nadu, and 1,471 in Mizoram. The corona infection killed 278 people in a single day. Thus the total number of deaths due to corona infection across the country is 4,49,538.
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the total number of people who have recovered from corona infection so far is 3,31,75,656. In the last 24 hours, 24,770 people have been discharged from corona infection.
In India, 2,46,687 people are being treated in hospitals for corona infection. Across the country, 59,48,360 vaccines were given to people yesterday. The number of vaccine doses so far has crossed 92 crores and 17 lakh.
Although the second wave of the corona is gradually declining, medical experts say there is a risk of a third wave if people do not follow the rules of corona prevention properly.
