Astronaut Wang Yaping became the first Chinese woman to walk into space, as part of its current construction, following the completion of her 6-hour journey outside the Tiankong space station.
*Tiangong (meaning Palace of Heaven), the latest achievement of China’s efforts to become a major space power.
*This marks the first additional vehicle operation of the Shenzhou-13 crew, and the first in China’s space history to involve the participation of a female astronaut.
