Introduction of Part II – Citizenship
Part II (Articles 5 to 11) if of our Constitution deals with the matters of citizenship. A citizen of a state is a person who enjoys full civil and political rights. India has two kinds of persons living in the country namely Citizenship and Aliens.
Article 9 – Persons voluntarily acquiring citizenship of a foreign state not to be citizens
No person shall be a citizen of India or be deemed to be a citizen of India, if he has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of any foreign state
