The Government of India has set up a Committee of Ministers (GoM) headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to improve the implementation of various schemes meant for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe(ST), Other backward classes (OBS), Minorities and Women.
Main Objective:
The aim of the government is to work for the power and prosperity of the backward classes and minorities.
Member of GoM:
- Amit Shah – Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation
- Nirmala Sitharaman – Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs
- Dharmendra Pradhan – Union Minister of Education, and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
- Ashwini Vaishnaw – Union Minister of Railways, Communications, and Electronics and Information Technology.
- Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi – Union Minister of Minority Affairs.
- Arjun Munda- Union Minister of Tribal Affairs.
- Kiren Rijiju – Union Minister of Law and Justice.
- Virendra Kumar- Union Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment
