In July 2021, Indian IT giant Tech Mahindra now partnered with Statwig, a digital supply provider, to launch the global vaccine monitoring platform “Vaccine Ledger”.
The Vaccine Ledger is set to collaborate with countries around the world to facilitate transparency in the vaccine supply chain, predict the failure of cold storage facilities, and thus prevent the wastage of life-saving drugs.
1.It is an open-source platform based on blockchain technology that maintains the final first-to-last path of the COVID-19 vaccine supply chain.
2.It can be easily integrated with the existing vaccine monitoring system in different countries and follow their complex regulatory requirements
3.Uses blockchain technology to effectively maintain complex records such as inventory management, vendor payments, IoT integration and smart contract, date of purchase, and expiration.
