Govt Launches new Geospatial Planning Portal – Yuktdhara

August 23, 2021, The Government of India launches a new geo-location planning portal “Yuktara” under Bhuvan. It implements the MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) asset planning using Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) data. The portal was launched by Yuktara Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Giriraj Singh.

Main Objective :

The Yuktara site will act as a repository of assets and facilitate gram panchayat level planning of MGNREGA activities across India.

Yuktdhara- Geospatial Planning portal for Geo-MGNREGA

1.Currently integrated under Yuktadara, as part of Bhuvan, it integrates multiple temporary IRS satellite data, workspace, watershed management, and more.
2.This is to facilitate Grama Panchayat level planning of MGNREGA functions across the country.
3.The prepared plans will receive the evaluation of the desired authorities under the State Departments for better verification and resource allocation.

Geospatial Information :

Is geographic information and mapping. It is basically spatial and spatial information. Geographic planning is the use of a Geographic Information System (GIS) and a Global Positioning System (GPS).
