Govt Launches QSim To Aid Quantum Computing Research In India

On August 27, 2021, Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar launched the ‘QSim – Quantum Computer Simulator Toolkit’ to facilitate cost-effective research in quantum computing during a hybrid event from New Delhi by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).It will be used by students and researchers.

*It is a product of a project being implemented in collaboration with IISc (Indian Institute of Science) Bangalore (Karnataka), IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Roorkee (Uttarakhand), and C-DAC (Advanced Computer Development Center). MeitY.
*This project is one of the first efforts to meet the challenge of advancing the boundaries of quantum computing research in India.

  1. PARAM SHAVAK QSim:

A standalone system with Quantum Simulator in a box

2. PARAM QSim Cloud:

Available on the cloud using HPC (High-performance computing) infrastructure PARAM SIDDHI AI (developed and deployed under NSM program)..
