On September 3, 2021, the Hansa New Generation (NG) aircraft successfully made its maiden flight and all flight parameters were found to be normal. It was designed and developed by CSIR (Scientific and Industrial Research Council) -National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore, Karnataka.
*The aircraft took off from HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) Airport by Amit Tahiya, test pilot at an altitude of 4000 feet at a speed of 80 knots for about 20 minutes.
*It will be certified within the next 4 months.

*The aircraft was telemetry monitored by senior officials and scientists from the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Center for Military Aviation Qualification and Certification (CEMILAC), and CSIR-NAL.
*Its key features include cabin-equipped glass cockpit, high-capacity digital control engine, electrically operated folds, long-endurance, low acquisition, and low operating cost.
*CSIR-NAL has identified a private partner and will begin serial production soon.
*HANSA NG 2020 was certified by the DGCA and the first aircraft production for aircraft testing began in September 2020.
