Across the country, 18,346 people have been diagnosed with corona infection in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of corona infections to 3,38,53,048, the lowest number of daily injections in the last 209 days.
The maximum number of infections was 8,850 in Kerala, 3,165 in Maharashtra and 1,667 in Tamil Nadu, and 1,467 in Mizoram. The corona infection killed 263 people in a single day. Thus the total number of deaths due to corona infection across the country is 4,49,260.
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the total number of people who have recovered from corona infection so far is 3,31,50,886. In the last 24 hours, 29,639 people have been discharged from corona infection.
In India, 2,52,902 people infected with corona are being treated in hospitals. Across the country, 72,51,419 people were vaccinated yesterday. The number of vaccines vaccinated so far has risen from 91 crores to 54 lakh.
Although the second wave of the corona is gradually declining, medical experts say there is a risk of a third wave if people do not follow the rules of corona prevention properly.
