Corona exposure in India has been declining for the past few days. In the last 24 hours, 13,058 people have been diagnosed with corona infection. This is the lowest level in 231 days. This brings the total number of corona infections to 3,40,94,373.
The highest number was 6,676 in Kerala, 1,485 in Maharashtra, 1,192 in Tamil Nadu, 953 in Mizoram and 690 in West Bengal. Thus the total number of deaths due to corona infection across the country is 4,52,454.
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the total number of people who have recovered from corona infection so far is 3,34,58,801. In the last 24 hours, 19,470 people have been discharged from corona infection.
In India, 1,83,118 people suffering from corona infection are being treated in hospitals. Across the country, 87,41,160 vaccines were given to people yesterday. The number of vaccine doses so far has risen to 98 crore 67 lakh.
Although the second wave of corona is gradually declining, medical experts say there is a risk of a third wave if people do not follow the rules of corona prevention properly.
