Across the country, 34,403 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in the last 24 hours, slightly higher than yesterday, bringing the total number of coronaviruses to 3,33,81,728.
The highest number of infections were reported yesterday in Maharashtra at 3,595, Tamil Nadu at 1,693, Andhra Pradesh at 1,367, Karnataka at 1,108, and Mizoram at 1,171.
The corona infection killed 320 people in a single day. The total number of coronavirus deaths across the country is 4,44,248, with a maximum of 1,38,322 in Maharashtra.
According to the Federal Ministry of Health, the total number of people who have recovered from corona infection so far is 3,25,98,424. In the last 24 hours, 37,950 people have been discharged from corona infection.
In India, 3,39,056 people are being treated in hospitals for corona infection. The number of vaccines given so far across the country has crossed 76 crores 57 lakhs. 63,97,972 vaccines were given to people across the country yesterday.
Although the second wave of the corona is gradually declining, medical experts say there is a risk of a third wave if people do not follow the rules of corona prevention properly.
