Jal Jeevan mission:
It is Launched on August 15, 2019, it aims to provide safe and adequate drinking water to all households in rural India by 2024 through Private Functional Housing Connection (FHTC).
In October 2021, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi almost launched the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) mobile processor to create awareness about JJM and to improve the transparency and accountability of projects under JJM.
*The Prime Minister also launched the Rashtriya Jal Jeevan Kosh to help any individual, company, institution, or philanthropist in India or abroad contribute to the provision of piped water connection.
*The Prime Minister is almost in touch with the Gram Panchayats and Pani Samitis / Village Water and Sanitation Committees (VWSC) in JJM.
Important Points:
*The JJM mobile processor will contain information about JJM, the number of households receiving water, water quality, etc.
