Quantum Computing

This is a study on how to use events in quantum physics to create new computer ways. A normal computer has a bit that can be 0 or 1. On the other hand, quantum computing has quits, which are superpositions of either one or 0 and 1, thereby increasing the efficiency of the computers.

Indian Government to enhance Quantum Computing Research:

  1. In the 2020 budget for the National Mission for Quantum Technologies and Applications, Rs. 8000 crores were proposed by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

2. MeitY had earlier announced a partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to set up a quantum computing applications lab in India.

Virtual Participants:

Krishnasamy Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, IISc Bangalore, Prof. Ajithkumar Chaturvedi, IIT Roorkee, Mrs. Tebjani Ghosh, Chairman, NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Service Companies), among others.
