SANDALWOOD MUSEUM

India is home to numerous museums, and now it seems that a sandalwood museum is on its way, too. First of all, this museum is likely to arrive later this month in Mysuru in Karnataka.

Mysuru is already popular as a city for its sandalwood soaps, sandalwood oil, sticks of incense, etc. And now, Yediyurappa, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, has promised to inaugurate the country’s first sandalwood museum. The museum has been conceptualized, according to
reports, in a way that will help spread awareness of the history and cultivation of sandalwood products. In addition, it will also offer visitors the opportunity to witness the beauty and variety of the many exhibited pieces.

The museum is expected to open after November 25, and will be moved to the famous Mysuru Palace, which is already quite popular with tourists, both local and non-state tourists.
