The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed a technology called Single Crystal Blades for the use of helicopter engines.Using this technology, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. manufactured and supplied about 60 blades.
*This technology enables the production of blades capable of withstanding high temperatures, and their ability to withstand extreme conditions is essential for helicopters.
*HAL will also use the technology for its domestic helicopter development program.
*The ability to design and manufacture these single crystal components is only operated or used in very few countries in the world, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Russia.
