RK Mathur, Lieutenant Governor (LG) of Ladakh, launched the YounTabprogram for students. Through the program, about 12,300 tablets have been distributed to government school students in Leh.
YounTab scheme:
*This is an initiative of the school education department. It was started with the technical assistance of the Department of Information Technology.
*Under the scheme, 12,300 tablets containing booked online and offline content, textbooks, video lectures and online class applications will be distributed to students from Class 6 to Class 12 in government schools.
*The project was launched as an attempt for a long-term technological inclusion in the education system.
Rewa Scheme:
*10th and 12th class students undergoing training for exams like NEET, JEE, NDA and UG CLAT under Reva program. Tuition fees up to Rs. 1 lakh will be refunded.
*Providing financial assistance of up to Rs. 1.54 lakhs to students who complete the preliminary examinations of Civil Services, IES and IFS
*Grama Panchayats will be provided Rs. 25 lakhs for conducting community classes for primary school students in villages.
