The Meghamalai is the range of Mountains located in the Western Ghats in the Theni District of Tamil Nadu. This place also known as the Highwavy mountains, is nearer to the Kumily in Kerala.
History
Meghamalai is also called the Green Peak or the Paccha Kumachi, which is known for its cool and gloomy weather. A larger part of this place is covered with the tea estates and the cardamom estates. Here the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and the Meghamalai Wildlife Sanctuary constitute the Meghamalai. In Asia, one of the largest tea factory, the Woodbriar Tea Estate is situated here in an area of 6000 acres.

From the month of July till September, this place welcomes the monsoon, which brings a moderate rainfall. Here the winter season begins from the November month and lasts till February month, with the temperature varying between 24ºC to 39ºC. Then the summer begins from the March month and lasts till June month with the temperature that ranges from 24ºC to 39ºC.

From the months of October to May, you can go to the Meghamalai. During this time, the climate here is adorable with a cool breeze . Then you may also go to this place during the winter season.
