Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh launched the ‘Services e-Health Assistance and Telephone Counseling – Outpatient Department (Sehat OPD)’ portal (https://sehatopd.in/). This portal is an online medical counseling service for Armed Forces personnel, Armed Forces veterans and their families.
Main Objective:
*Providing health services to patients in their homes through this portal. It provides safe and structured video-based medical advice between a hospital physician and a patient in their home.
Developers:
*Advanced Computer Development Center (C-DAC) Mohali, Headquarters Integrated Security Staff (HUIDS), Department of Military Affairs (DMA), Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS).
*It was developed by C-DAC Mohali and is based on ‘eSanjeevani OPD’- GoI’s primary telemedicine technology run by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).
Additional Features:
*This portal will ease the burden of hospitals and provide patients with non-contact advice.
*This portal provides services such as patient registration, token creation, queue management, free service, SMS / email notifications and customizable system (no daily locations, no doctors / clinics, waiting room, consultation time).
