Anshu Malik became the first Indian woman to win a silver medal at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships (WWC). The 17th World Wrestling Championship 2021 was held from 2 to 10 October in Oslo, Norway.
*Anshu Malik lost 4-1 to Olympic medalist Helen Maroulis in the women’s 57 kg category.
*Earlier, Anshu made her Olympic debut and is now the first woman to win silver in the wrestling world.
*Anshu Malik is the winner of two Asian Championship medals, including the Gold and Rank Series silver medal list.
