India Observed Wildlife Week from Oct2 to Oct8 2021..

Wildlife Week in India is observed annually from October 2 to October 8 across the country with the aim of protecting the flora and fauna of India.

*2021 Wildlife Week, 67th edition, is celebrated with the theme ‘Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and the Planet’.
*Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav inaugurated the Wildlife Week celebrations under the theme ‘Azadi Ka Amirt Mahotsav’, ‘India for the Tigers – A Rally on Wheels’ by LTTE rallies at 18 LTTE borders in 51 archives across the country.

Main Objective:

  1. Raising awareness among the people about the conservation and protection of wildlife
  2. To implement more measures to protect wildlife.
  3. To discuss all issues related to wildlife conservation

WildLife Week :

*The idea of ​​Wildlife Week was created by the Wildlife Board of India in 1952 to raise awareness about the long-term goals for the conservation of Indian wildlife.
*Initially, Wildlife Day was celebrated in 1955 but was later upgraded to Wildlife Week in 1957.
